Nestled in the stunning Cascade Mountains, Leavenworth transforms into a vibrant stage of cultural festivities, reminiscent of the colorful and lively spirit of traditional Bavarian springtime festivals.

Leavenworth Wine Walk
 

Leavenworth is home to an array of boutique wineries and tasting rooms, each offering a unique glimpse into the art of winemaking. From crisp, refreshing whites to robust, flavorful reds, our local vineyards capture the essence of the region's diverse terroir. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or a curious novice, Leavenworth's wine country welcomes you to explore and indulge.

Wenatchee River Salmon Festival
 

Take part in the many inter-generational hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, wildlife “edu-tainment”, music, art, and experience a meaningful cultural exchange with Native Americans in their tribal village.

Set in the pristine majesty of Washington State’s Cascade Mountains at the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery, the Wenatchee River Salmon Festival is an outdoor education adventure you will not want to miss.

Autumn Leaf Festival
 

This is Leavenworth’s longest running event.  The Autumn Leaf Festival celebrates the turning colors of the Autumn Leaves and is the town’s original festival; originating in 1964 when the City of Leavenworth adopted the Bavarian theme.

Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest in Leavenworth is the next best thing to being in Munich! There are four venues with live entertainment and Free Shuttles in Leavenworth!

Christmastown 

Like an enchanted village inside a swirling snow globe, the Bavarian village of Leavenworth, Washington, is truly an unforgettable winter experience.

During the Holiday Season, the quaint Bavarian village is transformed into a dazzling array of over 500,000 Christmas lights with live music, a special visit from Santa Claus, and more fun for the whole family.

Weekends in January

Picture a stunning backdrop of half a million brilliant lights, majestic mountains frosted with snow and an enchanting Bavarian village filled with fun. Come join us in January for Leavenworth’s Winter Karneval as we honor a German tradition dating back to the thirteenth century, commonly referred to as ‘Fasching’.

You can expect to see a blend of familiar activities, like ice carving and fireworks over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, along with new entertainment that will be spread out during the rest of the month, making Leavenworth the perfect winter destination all month long.
